"...The boring travel-bloggers of today were once restricted to the slide night, the late-'70s version of water torture. But at least the tedium was compressed into one evening of egg sandwiches, stifled yawns and technical failures. Now the audience has to suffer separately every two days..."
When we got home last time, everyone said they loved getting the emails I sent from overseas and it was a highlight if they saw a little message from me in their inbox. Was everyone lying to me? I don't think so. I didn't send the emails to my entire address book, just those that I thought would appreciate it. Hopefully that makes me a little different. I know some people were jealous (who wouldn't have been? We had a freaking awesome time - he he) but hey, they still liked reading what we were up to! I've even had some of my material quoted back to me since we've been back. Several times Meredith (Sis in law) has said "Saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It leans" and then cracked up laughing. If that's not a quality review, I don't know what is.
Listen to me justifying myself. Screw The Age and its politically correct manner. Everybody knows it's "Chinese water torture". I'm going to continue to prattle on about crap. Anyway, if I am blogging about it, people have to type a web address to get here. I am not forcing an email on them. Which means they want to read it if they have gone to the effort of typing those keystrokes. Hey, maybe i'm even bookmarked or in a favourites list?? Heh, I can dream.
On another note, got back from Lakes Entrance today. It was niece Lici's 8th birthday today. Happy birthday big girl. You make us proud.
