NB: Oh yeah, got a message from Lil'M the other day. She says she's got some news.
NG: What was the news?
NB: Because of my shoddy mobile phone reception I didn't get the message for ages. I wrote back, but it would have been nearly midnight their time, so I haven't heard.

Cue random boring conversation about how we are going to acquire Lil'M's work number to hear this news. Process of elimination.

NB: Oh congratulations!
NG: Is she pregnant??!!??
NB: No! She just asked if you were pregnant! They're engaged!

Congratulations to Lil'M and the D-man on the news. Apologies for our shameful pre-paid mobile phones which do not get reception in our basement flat. Sorry we couldn't share your exciting news with you at the time.
