Wee bonnie Scotland

We arrived in Prague quite late in the afternoon, so thought we wouldn't get to see much. We decided to wander around the 'Old Town' as that should have some good sights. It turned out that the entire Old Town Square was set up with a Christmas market! It was fantastic. We tried more local delicacies and felt like we had to be rolled back to the hotel afterwards. All for the princely sum of 100 kroner each, which was pretty cheap.

We arrived back in London late yesterday. It felt like summer. We were wandering around without jackets or anything, it felt so hot. It was only 12 degrees, but that was nearly 20 degrees hotter than Cesky Krumlov! It felt really weird.

Up early this morning for the train ride from London to Edinburgh. What a fantastic city. People smile at you! People are helpful when you appear lost! Little old ladies chat to you! What beautiful people the Scots are.

So tonight, spoilt for choice, we could have had a fish supper and shared a can of Schweppes Shandy (yep, they make it in a can here) in our hotel room or we could go out and enjoy the Edinburgh Carnival. Wa hey, it was all on tonight, cause we did all of it!

I love holidays.

We are going to the Edinburgh Castle tomorrow and then have the torchlight procession tomorrow night. Should be fantastic. Promise we will post photos as soon as we can.
