Brain Vomit

Warning - this post is going to be ramblings and nothing of substance. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Things that went through my head at the weekend:

- Kite Runner movie - loved it
(Do yourself a favour and see it. Made me cry. Girl flatmate is going to lend me the book. Fortunately I have not read the book already. For those of you that know me, you know my rule. If I have read the book, I can't see the movie, as they always fuck it up - aka 'The Notebook'.)

- Things We Lost In The Fire movie - hated it
(But good on NB for downloading it for me. Love you long time)

- I love the song 'Hip Hip Hooray' by Sneaky Sound System. Fantastic to work out to. Who wouldn't love a song with the lyrics '...I'm lookin' for love of the one night variety...I wanna go home with you and I don't even know your name...' I am well impressed with myself, because this is a MODERN group that I like. Doesn't happen often.

- Thinking about music, bloody iTunes pisses me off. I did the right thing and paid to download music. However, the quality is quite poor and when I am in the gym, I can never hear the iTunes downloaded music because it is too quiet. Apparently iTunes got in big trouble over this and have now upgraded their quality. Too little, too late you clowns. I won't play your Monopoly game again.

- I overheard a conversation between a little boy and his Dad at the Imperial War Museum. The Dad was telling his boy that the tank we were all looking at had less power than their family car. I had to go and find NB to see if that was true. Turns out it was. NB said that our car from back home had about the same power as the tank. Only that the tank probably weighed 10 times more.
(God I hope war and tank freaks don't find this blog through google searches and start commenting on here)

- Have come to the realisation that I am an Amazon whore. Went to a book market today and didn't buy anything, because any book I liked I thought 'I bet I can get this cheaper on Amazon'. That's really bad, because I should support little local bookshops. I think I will make a pledge that for every book I buy on Amazon, the next one will be bought from my local bookshop. ...But Amazon has free delivery! Stop it.

- Kicking myself for blogging instead of looking for accommodation for our holiday on Thursday. Oops. Relying on the fact that it is winter and there should be quite a few vacancies.

- My head hurts. I think it is from the Fruit Twist Fanta.

Warned you. Just think what more productive things you could have been doing rather than reading this shite.
